It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, spices, metals, black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, oak, licorice, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Not what I expected from a Napa Cabernet, but it is drinking very nicely now.

Good right out of the bottle and does not change much later. Not one for long term aging, but easy drinking even by itself.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$35.

Black berry, soil, and smoke on the nose. Black fruit, earth, and firm, but well integrated tannins. 2016

3/22/8/4/4 +50= 91 pts.

Very nice value at 35$ for a cali cab

My favorite SG bottle to date. PNP and drinking so easy - ample fruit and structure in the great QPR. Paired great with turkey burgers!
