It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, spices, metals, black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, oak, licorice, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Not what I expected from a Napa Cabernet, but it is drinking very nicely now.

Good right out of the bottle and does not change much later. Not one for long term aging, but easy drinking even by itself.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$35.

Drank 3/38/18. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Black berry, soil, and smoke on the nose. Black fruit, earth, and firm, but well integrated tannins. 2016

3/22/8/4/4 +50= 91 pts.

Very nice value at 35$ for a cali cab

Fantastic as always. Really well done and great value for the money. Drinks like a $75 Cab.

This is a pretty solid Cab. Brambly dark fruits, dried garden herbs & winter baking spices, wet leather and tobacco. Fruit forward with nice secondary notes to give it some depth. Smooth finish 👌🏻

Can definitely tell the difference between this & the Chappellet,
But this is half the price so🤷🏼‍♂️,
No nose & medium bodied
