Secondary notes of earth & damp cellar from the age. Just about to fall over the hill, but after pouring a second taste, I get some olive & ginger notes. Tasted a few younger Cali Pinots today, but this older gentleman stands out in a great way.

Opaque purple/red color, shows some soy and mushroom aromas and flavors, this was outstanding 10-15 years ago, but is fading, medium finish.

So stunning for an 18 year old wine! Showing the slightest bit of age, as well as red currant, pomegranate, dried cranberry, dried rosemary, plum sauce, porcini mushroom. Still so much acid, silky smooth palate. Clearly a well-made wine.
