Shea Wine Cellars
Shea Vineyard Chardonnay
Yummy, started with cooked pineapple notes and moved to lemon curd overtime. Bright and crisp...beautiful juice!

Apr 25th, 2020(16 percent new French oak) Limpid yellow. Expressive, oak-spiced orchard and pit fruit scents are complicated by toasty lees and floral elements. Sappy and broad on the palate, offering juicy nectarine, pear nectar, orange zest and vanilla flavors energized by a core of juicy acidity. Shows excellent breadth and spicy thrust on a very long, mineral-tinged finish that leaves ripe citrus and orchard fruit notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Feb 2018)

Sometimes I wonder if it's possible to make bad Chardonnay in Oregon. Maybe Evening Land, St Innocent, Walter Scott, and Shea aren't the norm though 🤔

1 person found it helpfulAug 8th, 2014Really bright and fresh, even at 5 years. Lemon zest, melon fruit, and a noticeable lack of butter and oak, yet still seriously structured.
