A medium-bodied Grenache from France. Showing red and black fruits with chocolates, earth and light vegetables.

Fruit forward and nicely balanced.

Medium-bodied with medium acidity.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some complexity.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Thankfully not as “hot” as I expected at ~16% abv. Kind of dangerous for the same reason ! 😉 A little tight out of the bottle but loosened up with some air. Chocolate covered cherries allll day. 🍫 🍒

Great if you want big flavor with lower tannin. Smoke and sour cherry on the nose, ripe fruits on their way to jam, flavors of strawberries, plums and cherries that deliver then roll out for a satisfyingly dry finish that gives you a honorable mention in the tannin arena. High in alcohol at 15.9 but manages to hit your palette smoothly with wood and fruit, complexity and drinkability, awesome overall, highly recommend for pinot noir lovers looking to go bolder or cabernet scarey cats looking to get brave!

Rose petal and chocolate powerful aromas. Amazing chocolate syrup mouth, dry tannins. Interesting and different.

You really need to let this wine breath. It tasted much better the next day. I thought Dave & Joel did a bad job on this one, but I was wrong.

Cherries in every imaginable form; bing, sour, maraschino and kirch liquor. White pepper and savory herbs round out a lush mid pallet. Finish is long and flinty. Can't wait to try another bottle in 3-5 years.
