Seaside Cellars
Marlborough Pinot Noir
Cali style fruit forward pinot. Good for $9 and like the fact it is lower abv.

Jun 30th, 2019Probably a tough crowd for normal Costco drinkers since it isn’t a bombastic in-your-face jammy (Meiomi-esque) Pinot. Light and clean with chocolate raspberries, some cherry notes, high acidity. Not too funky but it’s a NZ pinot so it carries a little farmyard. I like it, especially for $9.

Nov 12th, 2018When you open this bottle the fragrance of black berry jumps out immediately, and even more so in the glass. On pouring i was surprised that the color is pale compared to other Pinot Noirs I've tried. First taste is very acidic, and decanting for an hour did not help much. "Wine Spectator" rates this grape acid at 90 points, (really?) But i won't be buying this one again. Product of New Zealand, 12.5% ABV.

Jan 7th, 2018I don't think there bottles are consistent. Some say jammy. Not mine. Definitely not mine. Weak, bitter. Nothing really wrong. But absolutely nothing right.

Jul 4th, 2017Clean and refreshing. Loads of red fruits. Raspberries, chocolate covered cherries, pomegranate, cranberries, and cinnamon. In grade school PE, we had to climb up a steel pole. I am picking up the essence of my hands, post descent. If anyone wishes to help me with a descriptor for that, you are welcome! Nice acidity! I would purchase again!
