Pretty dense and at an in- between stage - some dusty perfume appearing. Some length happening. Some patience should be rewarded.

I asked Kyle to pull something to go with Coquilles Saint Jacques thinking he would select a Chard but this is what he grabbed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. This is drinking perfectly right now. The nose was pretty muted and nothing was standing out so I was a bit worried but on the palate waves of cherry and cola hit you. There are decent tannins and a gripping acidity that worked well with the richness of the dish. This is my favorite Sea Smoke to date and drinking better than I remember. It's just that amazing. Happy 2017 all!

Powerful and intense with concentrated flavors of cherries, cola, tea and sweet spices with a smooth and lingering finish. Decanted for 5 hours and served alongside the '09 Ten and '12 Southing. This was everyone's favorite.
