Scribe Outpost East Napa Valley Syrah

Another winner. Bloody, meaty, irony, dark as all heck. Definitely on the boozy side (14.5%) but SO warm and inviting. A bit of air coaxes out bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Great wine for those that like this bigger style.

Subtle nose of earth and lightly of flowers. Fruit is sweet & earthy w/ coffee accents, and a leathery, earthy finish. Hermitage-like.

Really like this wine. A bit more in the finish would make this an excellent wine, but still solid.

Rich dark fruit over a beam of acidity but still an earthy finish. More Rhone than typical Cali style.

Cherry. Damn

Rockin savory fruit - combination of blueberry and gaminess, with lots of weight. Fabulous 2011.

2009, blueberry and bacon fat. Still plenty of life and not out of whack yum!

My kind of #Syrah. Needed time to open and worth the wait. Held up over a few days.

Aromas of damp earth, brush and blackberries, some faint violets. Body had a tinge of soy upon opening, made its way to velvety layers of cassis, bitter choc and spice, black raspberry.

Fresh fruit. Dried leather. Clean. A very refreshing expression of Napa Syrah. Thank you @Scribe Winery!
