I hand disgorged and dosaged this, so basically I made this wine! 😉 Wonderful as always-- thanks to the awesome Schrams team for making it happen @jesus g

Mar 25th, 2016Is it a crime if I liked this more than the champagne in my head-to-head blanc de blancs match up tonight? To be fair, the Pierre Gimonnet BdB , which I love, that it was up against, was in a 375, so it had a meaningful disadvantage; however, the point is that this wine exceeded my expectations: concentrated aromas and flavors of golden apple, barely ripe pear, lemon curd, jasmine, wet stone, bread dough and fresh churned butter with candied lemon peel and pineapple on the finish. Not a bad showing for California’s first 100% Chardonnay sparkler.
