Thomas Haag made an exceptionally brilliant wine that captured the lushness, the raciness, the length and depth of what Riesling can be. It's a Riesling roller coaster. This wine also gave me a great appreciation for the 2010 vintage, and made me a big fan of Schloss Lieser. Even with the high degree of acid that it has, it just sings with beautiful, pure fruit. Aging gracefully with fresh peach, apple, some kiwi, lime, and white flower notes-- all that, plus a fine delicacy about it, and with a finish similar to when someone's car stereo has their bass up, a bit high... "Reverberates", is the word I was searching for. I fell in love with this wine when I first had it, then sought out more bottles of this all over SoCal, purchasing a case and a half for my stash. I've drank all but one of these lovelies. Looking forward to drinking the last one- date unknown- in a bittersweet way.
