Tasted it blind...aged notes on the nose, thought old world but then the palate was big, over ripe and jammy...big surprise...a little too jammy for my taste.

Scherrer's wines just go on and on. This is drinking at peak, but should hold steady for a few more years. Glad I have a couple more of this one.

Totally solid. Prefer carneros, but good flavor throughout.

First ever Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Shopkeep says vintner doesn't release wines until they are ready and that this one reminds him of old school RRV Pinot.

Definitely some aged character on this. Needed time to breathe, but it revealed a beautiful bouquet of eucalyptus, blood orange peel, red clay, and freshly baked cherry pie. Lovely balanced finish. The aging paid of big time. Love it.

Deep garnet color. Drank over three nights. Delicious black raspberry and touches of leather and oaky vanilla. Glad I bought a case to try every year.

Hitting its stride. Great balance, purity here. Typical of this winemaker.

Pretty good not jammy. Touch of herbs, dark berries some spice. Acidity - well balanced - I can recommend this one. From the Meritage in Encinitas.
