Dark ruby colored. Red cherry, smoky oak, green pepper on the nose. Very dry right out of the bottle. Cherry and currant, with nice acidity. Let’s see if it mellows out after a few hours.

Solid Cabernet Sauvignon, with all the classic California style. Aromas of black currant and cherry match perfectly with the palate. What was most interesting is when paired with a steak, the tannin showed up, really boosting the body of the wine. A great choice for a going-away dinner.

I got this wine on a deal at K&L. It took a good 2-3 hours to open up. Initially it was really dry and not that interesting, became much more interesting as it settled down. Great value for the money if you have time to decant it and wait.

Drinking the 2015 Cab with beef tenderloin. Wine is fair at best.

It’s alright - a bit dry for my liking, but has a pretty good bouquet like a bigger red, but not as bold with the finish...
