Agree with others here who have suggested this is rather aggressively barreled. An acidic, high tension wine with lots of leather and dark fruit that started to show after several hours, with some chocolates oak notes I am not sure are doing the profile any favors.

Well made wine just overpowered with use of Barrique. Not my style for this elegant grape. I think it has the hype for the American wine consumers who craves oak on the palette...
