A textural treat. This and Buccella are some of the best textural wines on the market. Massive tannins yet they are fine and round. Dark berry compote, cocoa, plum, mild licorice, graphite. A baby waiting to be born. Too bad most will drink this way too young because it delivers oodles immediately after popping the cork.

14.9% alc.

Surprisingly structured and tannic for coming from Celia's hands.
This should be singing in 5+ years.

Third night on the Allure of the Seas and back at Chops Grille. Third wine out of the case we brought on board.

Purplish ruby red. Layered and rich nose with notes of boysenberries, dark cinnamon, purple petals, more dark berries and vanilla. Solid acidity paired with heavy tannins (7.5/10 almost 8). Full bodied with a touch of heat. Lots of complexity on the palate with rich and dark layers of sweet spices, blackberries, and gunpowder. Strong structure and long finish. Will easily last two decades. Drink till 2037.

Dynamite. Was firing on (nearly) all cylinders after a 60-minute decant and only got better with additional time. Cinnamon-dusted plums, Christmas spice cake, menthol, pencil shavings, and classic Rutherford dust. Elegant and exhibiting great finesse; this wine is really solid. Thanks for the pointers on the decant time @Mark Flesher

Huge wine, has smoothed out with 2 hours in the decanter. Hard to describe all that is happening on the nose and palate. Sufficed to say, this is real quality with multiple layers of flavour and a rich warm finish that feels like it will linger until the morning. Dry, smooth finish, lots of California Cabernet characteristics but a very unique wine if that makes sense.

Dark ruby red in the glass. Very aromatic with black cherry, crème de cassis, licorice, vanilla extract, and hints of graphite. Dense, concentrated fruit on the palate with a bit of the Rutherford dust on the back end. A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, this is the second wine produced from the J.J. Cohn estate after Scarecrow. Although still in its infancy, it was a pleasure with Wagyu Steak Frites. 14.9% alcohol. $190.
