Savage Grace
Dineen Vineyard Côt
Rattlesnake Hills, Columbia Valley, Oregon/Washington, USAPurple, dense, high pigment extraction. Black currant and tobacco on nose, black plum and blackberry in mouth. Medium skin astringency, tart and puckery but fruit forward. Light alcohol. Love this style of Malbec, highly drinkable. Worth decanting but I lack the patience and just dig in.

Nov 5th, 2025New vintage, yummy blackberries and, er, tobacco. Becoming a favorite. After 30 minutes, a healthy dose of fine-grained skin astringency emerges. Tangy or slightly tart on finish, with plenty of mouth-coating skin tannins. Worth decanting a couple of hours

Dec 12th, 2024New vintage, still a great take on Malbec. Strawberry flavor, lighter style, rounded mouthfeel, spearmint on finish with strawberry and blackberry

Jan 29th, 2023Dense purple red color, highly extracted pigment. Raspberry, blackberry aromas, flavors, black pepper and seed tannin finish. Great length of fruit, lovely style of Malbec, whole cluster, native yeast. Fun stuff

Seemed kinda cheeky for a Washington producer to call their Malbec Cot. Until you taste it & it is 100% true to the style bearing the name from the Loire. Fresh raspberry & cracked pepper with chalky tannins. Absolutely beautiful wine.

Great to revisit this one from my first harvest. Awesome that Michael decided to label this Malbec under its Loire name of Cot. Fresh, lean and Loire-like as intended, but distinctly Washington.

Lots of strawberry, red fruit notes. Not similar to any Washington malbecs I've had.

Loire-style Malbec from WA state? Yes! Gorgeous and well-structured, we get berries and white pepper on this. Medium finish. Soft nose hinting at more of the same. Clean. Velvety. Fantastic with food. Gives us hope for WA wine. More of this, please.
