Aug 1st, 202113.5% alc. 190 cases produced.
Crafted from old estate vines (supposedly dating back to 1880).
Perhaps a vintage issue and/or that these just need to be enjoyed on the younger side but I thought it came across a bit lean without any special uniqueness or character.

Almost aggressively angular and lean at first pour. Red berries and a touch of cream. Pinch of sweet spice. After a few minutes of time/air acid structure holds firm but tannins seem softer and body fleshes out. Overall kind of simple but with old world finesse.

Feb 18th, 2018Leaner than I remember previous vintages. Strong acid backbone, red fruit and medium light tannins to flesh it out a bit. I’d be curious to see how this holds up with another few years on it.
