Balciana Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi

Classic, clean Verdicchio. Slightly sweet mid-palate, but the good acidity balances it out nicely.

Funky and awesome.

Oxidizes hazelnut and burnt

Spring 2020. As expected, this was totally distinct among Verdicchio - with a big nose of bitter almond, yellow flowers and stone, the aromas don’t come across as overripe, but there is a bit of noticeable alcohol. That continues on the palate, which also manages to feel “alkaline”, and is intense and bone dry. I liked it, and it’s very interesting, but not something I want to drink every day.

This has the elements I've grown to love in white wine. Full shape with crisp dry finish. This wine is made from grapes harvested in Nov. and from a cru location. A bit of a caramel element but not sweet.

2010 vintage drinking superb

B/b+ not much on the nose. Citrus and butter on the palate. Medium to full body. Acidic. Would be great with food but good also without.

Tried to like it. Really! Late harvest. But weird. Just strange
