Sonoma County Trousseau
Floral elements more subdued, fruit blossoming. Softer then when enjoyed in its youth and less complex and crunchy.

Nov 18th, 2020Very interesting. I’ve never seen a wine with quite this color; cloudy, pale purple and green, slightly terra cotta; smell and taste are somewhere between a red and a rosé; delicious dry quality with a punch of sour fruit, rhubarb, even watermelon on the finish. Very much looking forward to next bottle, but will try to drink sooner. Less than five years and I feel it’s lost some of its spunk.

Sep 27th, 2019Perhaps because of age, this is a bit deeper and richer than is typical. Profile is the classic strawberry and watermelon. Most importantly, it’s just delicious. Last bottle of this vintage.

Aug 10th, 2022Love this wine. Would have a keg on tap, if possible. Perfect combo of lightness supported with a solid skeleton and sinewy muscle. Dusty red fruits with a bit of grip. Pleasing in the most positive meaning of the word.

Apr 10th, 2020Year in and year out, one of my favorite wines being made in the U.S. Tegan pays homage to Jura, but this is also a distinctly Californian take on Trousseau. The purity of fruit he achieves here is incredible.
