Very interesting! Bold. Lots of tannins at the start. Smells of licorice, black berry and jam. Not smooth at any point but very full and interesting. $20

We haven't had a great experience with carmenere in the past, but thought we'd try this one. There is a strange unidentifiable barnyardy nose that slowly dissipates. On the palate there are blueberries and not much else. Actually this is a bit of a boring wine, but still drinkable. While it's the best carmenere we've had, I think we've tried enough of them to understand we can't appreciate them. Update: After an hour I must say it really opened up and is quite lovely. Nice tartness to counter the sweetness, with juicy dark fruits. Still not super complex, but decent, drinkable wine to go with pizza.

Lovely and full in the mouth. Will I be able to find in the USA?

Very good, a little spice to it, nice and full but not a standout.
