A lot of oak, but after it opens up a bit, blackberry comes through with a perfumed headiness

This is showing beautiful contrasts in the bouquet, between dark ripe fruit and savory tones, with all the Tuscan hallmarks of dust and spice, that you could ever hope for. It's dark, silky and vibrant with alluring grip on the palate. I'd say it needs a few more years in the cellar but is still enjoyable now on its potential alone.

Inky blackberries & enough structure to build a village. Gotta love Tuscan Merlot.

I had the 2012 in 2020. stronger than the L‘ Aperita but just great, deep, wonderful. 2012 was a difficult year but not for the Merlot which was harvested in September already.
