San Giusto A Rentennano

San Giusto a Rentennano

Riserva Le Baroncole Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2013

Ming L
9.4

Exquisite CC. Aromas of red cherry, blueberry, cedar, balsamic, incense, and leather. Deep and layered. High acidity upon entry, then ripe candied fruits emerge. Lively full body. Soft yet assertive tannins.
Will need another 4-5 years to reach its full potential.

Fonterutoli Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2009

Tasty, but I would like it more if it didn’t have Cabernet Sauvignon in it and if they used less oak. Pretty rich and ripe. I prefer Felsina, Fontodi, Monsanto, Castell’in Villa, Rampolla, Isole e Olena and San Giusto a Rentennano to this! — 7 years ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2019

See previous note for this Cuvée. Shows the brilliance of the 2019 vintage in Tuscany. Dried cherry and earth. I bought some newly released 2019 Brunellos last week which will be put in the cellar for a long slumber. — 8 months ago

Vin San Giusto White Blend 2012

Delectable Wine
9.7

The 2012 Vin San Giusto is incredibly refined. There is plenty of the richness that readers have come to expect from the Vin San Giusto, but at the same time, the 2012 is wonderfully precise and nuanced. Spicecake, tobacco, cedar and mint give the 2012 lovely aromatic complexity that gives the wine a remarkable sense of lightness for such a rich sweet wine. In a word: superb.
