Beautiful Biodynamic Dolcetto aged for seven years at the winery. Great structure being from Dogliani. Lots of Nebbiolo traits with tar and herbs on the nose. Not a fruity wine. Tannin is approachable. This is drinking great!

Rich, ripe, and resolved tannins. Has Brett, but does not over power.

This is the Dolcetto forgotten about. Big, structured, and meant for food. Fruits are in the background and its all about the earth, tobacco, dried herbs, and dusty notes.

So you think you know Dolcetto? The '03 San Fereolo challenges the expectations of Dolcetto with a layered bouquet of spiced cherry, blackberry, wood smoke. leather, olive, undergrowth and hints of star anise. On the palate, I found silky, mid-weight textures with sappy black fruits offset by balanced acidity, followed by hints of dried cherry, lavender, and licorice. It finished fresh but long with saturating black fruits, olive and minerals.

Very thoughtfully aged at the estate, just now being released. Oak is hidden, candied aromas of cherries, pallet is dark forest cherry with hints of rust and herbs.
