Saladini Pilastri
Offida Pecorino
An unusual wine. Pale lemon color with fresh stone and tropical fruit flavors. On the palate flavors of baked apple, pear and peach with notes of lemon zest. Medium finish ending with a mineral character.

Nov 17th, 2020First time trying an #offida DOCG. Solid whiff of wet stone, faint peach and soft floral nose with hints of white jasmine. Taste: lemon rind, white pepper, rounder mouthfeel with less acidity - definitely on the warmer side at 13.5% ABV. Interesting Italian white that would lead me to try more from the region.

Apr 26th, 2020I think it started a bit cold, but the second day, and less cold it had much more body and length. Still rather unidimensional but hey, it’s pecorino.

Apr 17th, 2020Simple, crushable, moderate minus acidity. Missed the salinity I've found in other Pecs. $12 at Tommy's in Roxbury.
