One of the best estate visits and the best Etna Rosso during our focused Sicily wine trip Jan 2024. Very pale brilliant ruby. Fresh cranberry and strawberry and red blossoms. Rose petal. Smoky and herbal. Lavender, truffle, mint, medicinal herbs.

Adjusting this rating from 92 to 88. Wine just never got there…
Very herbal on the nose. Eucalyptus and mint. Gorgeous color, translucent ruby. Little too tightly wound to really shine. Will check back in tomorrow.

Вишневый ликёр, темная слива, переспелая ежевика, сухие розовые лепестки, чёрный перец, лавр, сухая земля, грифель, труха, лавр, едва ощутимый рассольный тон. Средне-полное тело с жилистой структурой, тугой кислотностью и мощными, шершавыми танинами и ещё ощутимой бочкой. Молодо, сжато, жарко, агрессивно в подаче. Сделано с потенциалом, но пьётся через силу.

This wine is a pure expression of the 🌋 terroir of Cru Etna. Amazing aromatics combine with burnt cherry and dust. I haven’t met a Cru Etna I didn’t love.
