Consecration Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel Aged Ale with Currants

My favorite beer of their lineup and perhaps my favorite sour. So complex and delicious

Least fav of the lineup. Heavy and rich with high volatility from elevated alc. very good, just not as good as others.

Not usually a fan of sour mash but this was amazing.

Batch 3, released in '09 or '10

Consecration Ale. Aged in Cabernet barrels with currants, and brettanomyces. Just like napa Cab?

Dry, winey, a little chocolate maybe. Just delicious.

Aged for 2+years (bottled 12/16/16). The nose just blasts you with currants and cherries but also a cigar box smell. The palate is insanity! Sour cherries, prunes, currants, chocolate, tobacco, bread, and herbal quality. So glad I aged some of these beers.

Never fails to impress me how truly seductive this beer can be.
