Last bottle of the trip. Consumed with some cigars brought to celebrate my nieces wedding in MN. Nice mousse and mouth feel. Still young. Very precise and angular.

Fun to try all three sizes. Very similar, though different size. They age the larger format longer before release to make them more consistent with the 750. Very clean. No oak.

Chard in stainless. Clean, focused, bright, with a bit of nuttiness.

This wine at 14 years in the bottle is still vibrantly youthful on the palate. Crisp lemon, apple, brioche, acacia, lime, hazelnut, candied lemon peel and a light note of beeswax emerge on the nose with a zesty foundation of crushed stone. Bone dry, the wine pulses with flavor and last seemingly forever on the finish. Beautiful, powerful, majestically structured with great finesse. Very impressive.

Mar 27th, 2021One of my favorite Champagnes this bottles was fresher than several of the bottles I have had in the last couple years . My only complaint it was a little one dimensional. Maybe this bottle just needs more time ?
