Couldn't be more different than the Olenink estate OR 2012 PN I opened the other day.
Served w seared wild salmon, whole wheat pasta w chantrelles and persilladé, double delicious sauteed greens w bacon fat, anchovies and garlic.
Pale ruby color. Cola inflected red cherry nose. Skeletal structure, with fresh acids and lighter body. Maybe not the very most compelling , but a very good example, espcially given that i may have held this too long.

Needs a minute to decant for sure. It’s the nervous stranger at the party that needs a drink to talk but once it’s comfy will gab. What will you talk of? Well once the formalities are out of the way you’ll discuss the Oscar nominees so like not deep talk but friendly convo all the same. You’ll probably exchange phone numbers or at least friend each other on Facebook but will you hang out again? Hard to say. But you won’t regret your time together.

Jul 13th, 2019Very Burgundy in style with strawberries & cream + a touch of herbs. Nice mouthfeel with polished tannins and red fruit, juicy acidity. Very nice balance with a lingering finish. This is much bette than expected, Pommard Village quality for a fraction of the price.
