Rudius
Savory Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Last of the blind Napa Valley Mountain reds. Dark and deep purplish red. Thick and layered nose with notes of dark mountain berries and sweet spices. Still a baby through out, from the nose through the palate. Heavy chewy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Very dark and layered palate with notes of purple flowers, bramble berries, black berries, cassis and dark crushed gravel. Long and lingering finish. Built as a big boy mountain Cabernet, definitely worth it. Drink from 2019 till 2039. (94+) | Release price is $135.
Coming up in their next release Rudius will be donating 10% of all sales to help aide those affected by the fires across Northern California. Beside being amazing wines this is also an amazing cause. I will let you guys know as soon as I do when they set it up. #prayforcalifornia

Dark berries and cherries in the nose with blackberries, black cherries and cotton candy in the palate. This 2014 was drank in 2024. It was still had high tannins even after 2 hours of decanting. The second half of the bottle was much better the next day. It paired beautifully with a grilled prime NY strip steak with sautéed mushrooms. It also paired well with an aged Carmella cheese

Jul 8th, 2024Both bold and easy on the palette. The incense is pleasant. It fills the mouth well. I might put this wine in the $70-$90 price range, yet the taste is quite fulfilling and we’re not left thinking the price was unreasonable.

Mar 29th, 2020Not seeing the $100.00 price tag, $135.00 on Release probably the most disappointing 98 point wine I’ve had.
So Many $50-$75 out perform this one
How Jeb gave this a 98+ I have no idea
Any Rivers Marie cab between $100-$135.00 will blow this away, not mention Mike Smiths wines
