Royal Oporto (Real Companhia Velha)
Late Bottle Vintage Port Blend
Very dark Ruby color with black edges. Aromas of very ripe berry and slight herb spice notes. This is a big port on the palate with sweet and jammy berry fruit, good balance with acidity. Grippy tannins give the wine some structure, long finish ending with dried fruits and bright sweetness. Drink now while it’s fresh. Just ok, look for better ones. Tasting Sample.

Nov 24th, 2019What a discovery, at $20 a bottle this is a massive deal on quality. Berries, Plum, Spices but above all, a perfect balance between sweetness (not overpowering ) and alcohol , an excellent price-quality ratio

1 person found it helpfulFeb 29th, 2016This shows even more promise of the 2011 vintage and is very youthful.
Opened for 4 hrs, just opened, not decanted.
Raisins, figs, and a slight jammy fruitiness aromas. Plums, blackberries, chocolate, toffee, and a hint of butterscotch.
Hard to beat for $20
