Started off with a nose approachable from a few inches away. Wine is full bodied, chewy tannins, slight acidity, and LONG. Dark red fruit, and opened to loads of blackberries and blueberries. Didn't have much time to taste as it felt like I was eating in the Caribbean (so damn hot!) Wine was muted after first glass and oak started to overwhelm. Glad I have more!

Stewed plums, dried dark fruits with some dried cranberry. This is a great Roy. Less perfumed than the 2006 and more lushy than the 2009. Excellent wine.
