Deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits and smoky notes. On the palate blackberry and black cherry flavors, minty with spicy notes. Chewy tannins, ok balance, medium length finish for a hot climate Cab. Tasting Sample.

Pickled peppers, pepperoncinis and red berry on the nose. This does not make me want to drink this. Yet I am surprised that the nose fairs better than the palate, which is highly acidic and singular. Not much dimension. I am disappointed.

Solid Lodi Cab. Not bad for the price point. Would have no prob serving this to discerning drinkers. Not crazy complex, easy and non offensive.

Nice bold and fruity flavour. Well balanced. Enjoyable overall experience including a delicious finish.

Tbone. Sweet potato fries. Darker cab sav. Super ripe blackberry and raspberry. Some spiciness with moderate vanilla and coffee notes. M+ tannin. Med alc. med finish. Could probably use 3-5 years.

Inky translucent dark purple wine with not alot on the nose; I get some subdued cherry but it’s a peppery cherry and I really had to let it open up a bit before I could get a sense of it.  Medium bodied and cherry-tart on the palate with a slightly sour apple finish. I get a hot jalapeño burst mixed with blueberry and licorice.  A bit tannic on the end; but a really nice wine.  This would be outstanding with a soft Brie.  This is a nice but not a great Cab Sauv.  I’d buy it again, but I’m not sure if I’d get it for friends (they deserve better).  I like this because I think with time (and probably a few years) it will really develop.  It was a little disappointing for a Napa ’09, but I will get this again.  The nose does open up after some time and after 15 minutes the pepper “smoothed out” on the finish; so there’s alot of complexity in this.  A very interesting wine: I do recommend it, just don’t buy a full case of it without spending some time with it; thinking about it (and tasting it) more.

Yessireebop! Nice medium bodied cab with a burst of blackberries in the bouquet that carry through to the pale along with currants and a great moderate spiciness. $12.99 at Crush and Cask.
