Enjoying this wine with the owner of the winery, learning about the terroir, his process and the weather for this vintage. It was a cooler year in the Niagara region contributing to this pinot’s subtle and nuanced characteristics. A very light, highly quaffable, well balanced wine with fruit forward notes of strawberries and violets. Refined and sophisticated. A stellar Niagara wine, highly recommend if you love those shy Pinot Noirs: sultry & sophisticated, with plenty to say without shouting.

Paired well with the salmon and swiss chard. Held up nicely to the vinaigrette spinach salad but it was a little more fruity than we usually like.
