Excellent nose on this one. Fruity on the front end, kind of like a nice jam, but it really settles down once it goes down the gullet. I like this wine for a less expensive Merlot from Napa Valley!

Beautiful chocolate and plum medley hits the nose with soft berry, vanilla and oak. Soft, subtle vanilla and berry, finishing with persistent tannin. #merlot

We made a guinness beef stew to pair with this Merlot. It was a nice combination for winter time red and to brush the cold away. We usually drink red zin so this was off beat for us but we enjoyed it as a Merlot.
