Dark cherry on the nose, tannin forward, velvety and bit of sournesses. Lighter body.

A nicely well rounded Zin. Soft tannins with dark fruit and raisin flavors but with a healthy amount of acidity to give it some structure. Good with cheese burgers :)

Jammy Spicy Smooth. Very nice with Chef John’s Pumpkin Pie on this, the day we received our first dose of Moderna vaccine for Covid-19.

Notes of blueberry and tobacco with hints of cedar and vanilla. Very smooth and balanced finish.

Gigantic fruit bomb with rich caramel finish. This Rombauer is loaded with baked blackberries, plums dusted in pepper that doesn’t beat around the bush to get your attention. Tried against the Caymus Zinfandel (non blind). Though the 2013 Caymus has a 4 years advantage we couldn’t help but prefer it over the 2017 Rombauer. Not to say the El Dorado isn’t good, it definitely is and way more accessible than tying to find the limited produced Caymus.
