Hate all you want. Not my cup of tea, since it’s wine, but still a solid clean wine.

Every now and then, you just need the butter bomb. Especially on a hot day. Classic Rombauer. Butterscotch notes. Long finish.

Pale lemon in color with a yellow tint.

Strong nose of citrus, vanilla, oak, butter, spices, melons, red apples and lemons.

Full bodied, bold and buttery, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with lemons, grapefruits, apples, pears, almonds, pineapples, oak, vanilla, spices, sea salt, minerals and white pepper.

Long finish with tangy limes.

This is a great Chardonnay from Carneros, California. Buttery and bold and not too oaky, even for my taste.

Very smooth and enjoyable by itself or with food. Rich and extracted.

Robert Parker 90 points.

Thank you, Elvira for sharing. I paired it with Cheeses, crackers and great company.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$39.

Sipping Fine Wine

Had another bottle. Rombauer Vineyards was founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley. The winery features caves that extend for over a mile into the hillside. Rich aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet oak spice scents. On the palate peach, melon and apple, with soft vanilla spice, rich & creamy, yet crisp. Lingering smooth finish, well balanced ending with mineral notes. Better than ‘16, ‘17 much fresher tasting.

- Nose: a lot of oak for sure. Smells like a buttery croissant. Light bread. Toasted, Smokey. Baked apple with cinnamon - Taste: bit of a zing to it, very oakey but quite refreshing
- Very woody, like bark on the tongue. Earthy and Forest like. Baked apple and tart. Butterscotch. - Pairing: pineapple upside down cake, buttery lobster. Seared scallops. Rich and decadent foods

We really liked this Chardonnay. It was more complex than others we've tried. Mineral notes and chalkiness provided a nice base for a pear finish.
