Unabashedly fruity. Boysenberry jam. Baking spice. It’s a big juicy enjoyable wine.

In my mind, this is the way a Zinfandel should taste. Fruit bomb, booze bomb but well rounded. This wine is excellent, pairs perfectly with Filet Mignon with a peppercorn seasoning. Smooth and silky but with HEAVY fruit. I love it!

This is a huge blue-fruited jam bomb. Almost dessert-like. Fun when you’re in the mood

Deep cherry and blueberry notes with hints of minerality. Fruit forward with a smooth finish.

Monthly wine group meet up. This month's theme was non-typical reds from Napa. Wines were tasted blind. Always a great time. 👌

2nd bottle from Bill and it surprised me. Rombauer's zins are typically just an overload of everything...too much oak, too much fruit. But, as Bill and I discussed, the 2011 zin may be perfect for them as it wasn't the best year so everything seems more restrained. Really nice aromatics on this that scream zin, and the finish is lengthy in blue and black fruits, coconut, and plums. Thanks,
@Bill Makens !

Really nice Zin, a lot smoother than any other Zin I have tasted. Also no overly aggressive peppery notes. Just delicious.

Lots of fruit and good body. It went well with the chicken kabobs Mediterranean meal we paired it with.
