Dinner with dear friends in Brooklyn could not have started better with this very tasty grower Champagne. Brioche and pears combine. Mid-weight and with decent minerality and acidity to whet the palate for the meal ahead. (I noticed that the back label indicated it had been procured from MCF, a good bet for an interesting choice.)

No finer way to start the Christmas festivities than with some bubbles. This one is from Champagne and made by what is known as a Champagne Grower or the wine itself is called farmer fizz. To me the way to go is with farmer fizz for the $ and quality. Also don't use a flute , use a wine glass as it is just wine after all. Generous nose of bread and biscuit with mineral cut, the palate shows the same with freshness and a long finish. Great stuff #champagnecampaign #merrychristmas
