Cherry and dark fruit on the nose, looooong finish with all kinds of wonderful wooden, tobacco, vanilla notes. Delicious.

Very good aromas of deep red berries. Full palette and very smooth finish. The 2010 in a side by side compare was better and richer. Interestingly enough the wind varietal mix was also different as well as the bottle.

Magnum. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Big but not in your face with soft tannins but enough backbone to hold up to everything else we were drinking.

I'm a sucker for Alexander Valley fruit and this does not disappoint. Plum and cassis with firm tannins and a hint of bittersweet chocolate.

Sipping Fine Wine

Founded by Rod Strong in 1959 and now owned by the Kleins, after purchasing the vineyards in 1989. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep red with aromas of dark fruits and floral herbs. On the palate blackberry, cherry and sweet currants with cacao and espresso beans. Full-body, well balanced with fine tannins on a lingering finish. Very Nice!

The acid level balances out the fruit here nicely. Not bad for a constellation property.
