I brought along this Sonoma Cab ($15 corkage). Rich, dark, powerful, somewhat jammy but it sustains well. The perfect pairing with the juicy, fatty meatballs.

v12. Very Good wine. Soft, fresh cut cedar nose. Black currant, blackberry and cassis fruit. Velvety smooth, soft tannins , buttery leather finish. Nicely balanced.

Surprisingly complex. Excellent with Lindt chili & dark chocolate. Berry forward with multiple layers of evaporating flavors. Darker notes of licorice and smoke balance against fronts and mids of crushed violets and bergamot. Enjoy!
