Opened for my friends 40th. In its prime! Amazing length, glorious wine.

Drink now. Opened very tannic but decanted into a very smooth luscious soft, if not slightly porty lovely drink. Chocolate and raisin overtones.

Decent drinking without being amazing. Not my favourite vintage of this wine. Still, it shows how Barossa shiraz can have elegance and doesn't have to be over the top jammy.

So intense. Still filled with dark fruit aromas.

Tannins soft, big fruit, some tobacco notes coming through. Had with BBQ steak. Ok to good, not great

2003 vintage compared to a hermitage . The Rockford is big, hints of dark chocolate, almost port like, a deep red colour, smoky and peppery

Leathery and spicy with good fruit intensity, length and texture. Bit of heat from the alcohol. Probably the best of this vintage I've had so far.
