A true commodity in the world of Barolo- an approachable young wine that doesn’t sacrifice typicity. Highly aromatic- redolent of raspberry, cherry, roses, mint, orange peel, creosote, tea and tobacco but without the coarse tannins. Some oak spice showing up, but the fruit shines. This would be the ideal introduction to Barolo for many consumers with its fragrant, soft and effusive fruit but it’s also an honest expression of terroir. “Barolo for beginners” should not be taken as derogatory, this is a fine example.

Aug 27th, 2018Light garnet in color and body. 30
Min in the decanter has brought out a lot of flavor. Rose petals, Light dried herb and red plum scents. This wine is what I would “racy”. Firm acidity with orange peel, black fruit, anise, and spiced tea.

Mar 20th, 2019Still very young but that La Morra subtlety is in evidence already - soft tannins, initial nose of citrus peel giving way to classic Nebbiolo character. This will only get better
