Molino del Ciego Sémillon
I have to say this right away…this reminds me of a citrus forward sour beer, in a good way. The nose is like ripe grapefruit rind freshly squeezed into the air. Acidity is sharp, but not overbearing. That rind quality comes back in the palate with a bit of lemon and orange in there, like a group dance.

Dec 27th, 2021I love wines from Chile because I never have a clue what to expect - oddball notes and new combinations of smells and tastes.
Molina del Ciego is Chilean Semillon and smells like soft Peachie O’s and sour tangerine Tang powder. Swerve to minty menthol and white pepper. Big orange tannins and celery bitters for a nice farewell.

Smokey herbal nose, a little grip and yellow fruits, elegant tea on the finish

Mar 16th, 2021Pretty high VA. Gave off nail polish aromas. Maybe that would blow off if left out longer. Nice citrus, gin notes and good minerality. Maybe some subtle green pepper? Don’t know. Didn’t love this like others.
