An excellent modern rendition of Margaret River Chardonnay. Oak is there but not overpowering blending nicely with the stone fruit. Robert And Sandy Oatley became billionaires when they sold Rosemount to Southcorp (Penfolds and Lindemans) and since then Rosemount hardly exists 😟😟. Anyway this is their new venture on a much smaller scale. Bob Oatley died in 2016 aged 87. Apart from Wine the Oatleys have a huge legacy with ocean yacht racing with “Wild Oats” winning 8 Sydney to Hobart line honours.

Nice little entry level Chard. Fresh and light with a bit of cream and spice on the nose. Need +\+ acid with green apple and walnut on the palate. Finish is a touch short and heavy on green Apple skin.

Bob and Sandy Oatley, founders of Rosemount Estate, began their next wine venture to pay tribute to the many terrific regions of Australia and the grapes most suited to the terroir, Margaret River being one of those regions. Aromas of white flesh fruits with citrus and spice. On the palate apple, pear and some peach flavors with citrusy accents and smoky oak notes. Nice weight, balance and richness, medium finish. Great value.

By FAR one of my most favorite Chardonnay's I have ever tasted. (It might have something to do with paddling down the Margaret River when I was 15) The nose has slight fruit with a nice amount of acid on the palate with peach. What a great wine to sip on.

375mL. Premium wine sold on United flights. This was surprisingly good. Kind of understated. Reminded me of an austere Meursault. Light touch on the oak.

Way too much oak for my taste.

Admittedly, drinking this out of a tumbler in a hotel room in tropical conditions may not do it justice. Understated nose but plenty of stone fruit flavour on the palate with a stroke of nectarine through the middle and a bit of nuttiness. Decent enough.
