Impossible not to like this Margaret River Cabernet from Robert Oatley, a bright, fresh and compact example of the variety with good concentration to the fruit and a satisfying herbal, mineral and tannic edge. This got better with air, showing best on the second night having popped and poured on the first. A wine for early drinking, but an impressive one at that.

A punch or dark fruit and spices, pleasantly surprised by the level of complexity specially at this price point. Crack open another one guilt free.

Backcurrent, capsicum nose. Earthy. Typical western australia cab sav. Medium body. Tannin is abit coarse. Taste like something unbalanced. Not recommended.

Medium bodied, medium acidity. Tannins of Black berries and leaf and earth. Paired nicely with a tomato baked ziti.

Smooth feel of tannin, well structured aroma with the not of leafy chill. Very enjoyable.
