Reserve Unfiltered Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

These wines, I feel like they never age!

Not a great vintage and it shows. Promising nose, but the palate was thin, sharp and uninspiring. Consumed over 4 hours with no improvement.

Very nice old Cali cab. Bordeaux style and just showed nicely. So different than so many of the new Cali cabs.

Dried black currant. Olive tapenade and finely grained tannins

1988 3 decades and still sublime

Very special to drink a wine from my birth year! Typical of early Mondavi, this Cab is light and elegant, with a slight bit of cork taint from years aging with an old (not enough to completely ruin it). Drank with Dr. Bob and team at weekly Denver tasting

Rockin for CA. Some fruit but nice complex structure. Could last another 5-10.

Drinking very very well. Excellent!! Gets a bit better over 30 mins (no decanter). But tasted super tasty right out of the bottle.
