Private Selection Buttery California Chardonnay

This wine is colored yellow-gold. I found the nose to be strange, with apple, pear, and nectarine aromas up front, followed by an odd scent of vanilla and butter. It has a hint of the smell of the butter offered on popcorn at the movies. The palate gives the fruit center stage as well, with oak notes a bit more prominent. The acidity is nice and the mouthfeel is full. It's not a wine I will seek out in the future, even though I rather like buttery Chardonnay.

It's definitely a $10 bottle of wine. It's ok to cook with but not buttery or that good.

Definite oak notes and very drinkable.

Best when served near room temperature or slightly chilled. Sweet and neutral taste. Easy to sip after dinner.

Sweet aromas, slightly acidic. Buttery. It is not bad but I wouldn’t buy it again simply for the fact that there are better pinot grigios in the world.

Buttery chard goodness, as promised. Lovely sipper on a slow afternoon alone with an accompaniment/meal. Finishes with a nice citrus zing that satisfies!

Very different from Australian chardonnay. Improved with breathing and I liked the buttery profile. Went well with chicken pot pies.

The first 3 glasses were pretty gross. Rotten fruit/pineapple. The last was more butter than rot. But not worth buying again for only 1 decent glass.
