Bordeaux-Like. Dry and earthy. Good.

With the nose of an Insignia or Dominus this silky Merlot blend delivers. Bold and dry with flavors of cherry, plum and mocha.

It may be going through an awkward phase as the other reviews are pretty positive. This was simple and unremarkable... unbalanced and hot. Not much complexity and a short finish.

Combines soft, plush plum and dry, tart cranberry, and then wraps them in toasted caramel. Secondary herbs and spices give just enough seasoning to call this interesting, but this is all about the fruit and the texture.

Such a lovely, creamy & rich palate. Full-bodied but not heavy, this tastes of black plums & cassis. Perfect for bison steaks!

Robert Mondavi 50th anniversary Maestro red blend.

Definitely can smell the oak influence here, as should be expected. The wine is big and bold and assertive, with no in between. It's a tribute to a Napa icon, and it shows.

I had a sip of this wine a while back at an event, but wasn't able to have the luxury of experiencing it throughout the whole bottle until tonight. Deep purple and slow moving legs. Upon opening, it was definitely closed and the tannins were quite overpowering. After about an hour though, this wine really softened out and showed beautifully. Tannins were still gripping, but the cherry and blueberry notes added the right punch to bring a great balance to this young wine.
