Napa Valley Carneros Merlot

Certainly more accessible than the mountain wines. Dark fruit. Drinking well now.

Deep fruity flavor. Cherry/plum/sharp finish.

Good with heavy meals.

Serious love affair with this Merlot. Just amazing!

For $25 at a tourist deli you can’t go wrong. Red berries and chocolate covered orange peel. Under rated and under priced!

Really enjoyed it, might get some more to stash away for a few years. All of the usual bright fruit you would expect, quickly gives way to a chalky palate, chocolate emerges after an hour. Delicious.

Needs time but enjoyed the intensity. Better the second day.

A teenage rebel just looking for something to be mad at. Huge tannins. But unlike youth, there is a depth of flavor. Maturity with age and air will do this wine well. Right now, just too goth metal for me.

Herb de Provence, touch of complexity, and a hint of adolescence. Kinda like finding an amazing album, but not having a favorite song yet.
