Took about two hours to come around. Started tannic and smoky and evolved into sandalwood and cherry cordials.

Fruit-driven, this bottle is strong enough for a man, but beautifully balanced just for this woman. Cheers!

Big! Very modern, very ripe, big 2013 tannins, very extracted. Alcohol pokes out. Heavy on the dried fruit.

My dinner companions only drink white wine so I was very happy to see a half bottle of this on the list for me! Rich fruit profile with flavors of blueberry, vanilla, baking spice. Hints of chocolate. Silky smooth texture and a finish that goes on and on.

Mar 7th, 2018I love Bob's style of winemaking across the board, but especially his Merlots (Switchback, Pride, Hourglass, and his own label is no exception). This one is Big, bold, very fruit-forward with pronounced oak (but not overpowering) and fairly strong tannins. This is still a baby and made me understand what they mean by a "Cab lover's Merlot".

This one is Big, bold, very fruit-forward with pronounced oak (but not overpowering) and fairly strong tannins. This is still a baby and made me understand what they mean by a "Cab lover's Merlot".

Very nice. Balanced fruit and oak. Cherry spice, au jus, with a nice finish. No mistake that this is Merlot, and a 2013. Nice job as always!

Deep rich fruit profile. Prominent dark fruits with firm tannins. Cocoa nibs on the finish. This is a very well made wine!
