Robert Foley Vineyards
Claret Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruit, floral and minty herbs, mix of mountain and valley floor vineyards. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and currants with cacao and oak notes. Full-body, well balanced with fine tannins on a long finish, ending with fruit, oak and spice. Will age well. Very Nice!

Jan 13th, 2023This 2016 is starting to drink really well - still a bit of oak forward on the palate but the blackberry, cassis, black cherry and cedar are well-integrated, the tannins are silky and ripe and there is a beautiful harmony to the long finish. Mostly Cabernet (80%) with 17% Merlot and 3% Petite Verdot

Feb 19th, 2021Another 4th Friday for the books!
At 17yrs old, this was still quite dense and fruit forward, especially on the mid palate. Tannins and acidity have both mellowed out substantially but the fruit (overripe blackberry, currant, plum) carries everything well. The oak is still fairly noticeable here. Old Black cherry finish. Drink up, but this could go a few more years without leaving this current drinking window.

Once @David L explained to me that this wasn’t a new varietal (😂 🙄)...I thoroughly enjoyed this.
This is a great wine - loads of dark fruit, cassis, cherry, blackberry, some vanilla, cedar and a loooooong finish. Silky mouthfeel despite the gritty tannins long life ahead of this one. 80/17/3 Cabernet/merlot/pet v.
