This is all cru Barbaresco fruit, folks. Just younger vines that are higher yielding and need more maturity. Very strong Langhe, particularly at $20 (retail) price point I got it for 🙌

Sweet and syrupy for langue Nebbiolo. Candied cherries, chewy tannin. Enough acidity to keep me coming back. I was expecting something lighter and brighter - cool to taste a new style from a familiar place!

Light raspberry and cherry aroma; soft cherry cola flavours with a touch of tar and powerful tannins that were a little overwhelming on the finish.

There is a slight misalignment between the fruit and phenolic ripeness, also a mismatch between the oak and the terroir, but it is still an authentic, genuine Langhe Nebbiolo. Wide range of aromatic nuances and dynamic expression with authority. Less polished than Roagna and less subtle than Cascina delle Rose but those three are of similar mold. A relaxed style of winemaking that is complete opposite of producers like Albino Rocca, Bruno Rocca and Sottimano who have a perfectionist approach,
